We generally will not collect sensitive information, however, if necessary, we will gain your explicit consent to collect and use this information. 

It is important that the personal information we hold is up to date and accurate. If you become aware or believe any personal information, we hold is inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date please contact us. 

Use of information

Method Accounting will not use or disclose information collected for any purpose other than the purpose for which it was collected. Where information is needed for additional purposes, your consent will be requested. 

Method Accounting will not transfer your personal information outside Australia. If we are required to transact with, or send information on your behalf to, an overseas organisation, we will seek your consent regarding the transfer.

We may use your personal information to market our services to you, including by email. If you do not wish to receive such information you can choose to unsubscribe from this service. 

Personal information is held for as long as it is required to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected or as required by law. 

With your consent we may share your details with third parties who we contract to assist in providing services requested by you. 

Method Accounting may be permitted under Australian law, court/tribunal order, to provide personal information.

Method Accounting takes reasonable measures and precautions to protect the personal information we hold from such risks as loss or unauthorised access, destruction, modification, or disclosure. Reasonable steps are taken to destroy or permanently de-identify any personal information no longer required. 

The firm uses physical and electronic procedures to ensure the privacy of information is safeguarded. 

Please note the internet is not secure and we cannot guarantee the security of any information sent to us via the internet. 

Any personal information or content that you contribute to any social medial applications can be real, collected and used by others. Method Accounting has no control over this. We are not responsible for any use, misuse, or misappropriation by others of your personal information for content that you contribute. 

Access

At any time, you may request access to your personal information. Please allow 2 – 3 business days for the firm to complete this request. Where possible Method Accounting will provide you with access to the information either by returning the originals or providing copies. You will be provided time to inspect the information requested. In the situation where we are unable to provide you with access to information the firm will provide a reason why.
